L/V 10+ Tip of the Day #183 Search journals
Another tip of the day (TOTD) series for Logos/Verbum 10. They will be short and often drawn from forum posts. Feel free to ask questions and/or suggest forum posts you'd like to see included. Adding comments about the behavior on mobile and web apps would be appreciated by your fellow forumites. A search for "L/V 10+ Tip of the Day site:community.logos.com" on Google should bring the tips up as should this Reading List within the application.
This tip is inspired by the forum post: A couple easy search questions (I hope) - Logos Forums
Yes, the thread upon which this is based uncovered a problem with the scope of the journal label but much that is useful is still possible.
In order to find journals edited by an author:
Usually. In a Books Search enter type:journal author:Charlesworth after clicking "All Books" or whatever is showing:
EDIT: this will only find the editor.
To find the author of a journal article:
Couldn't one use journalArticle:(author:Charlesworth) ?
journalArticle:author:Charlesworth finds the same results in my Logos library.
In theory, you should be able to search within the article, but problems with the scope of the article label makes that currently unreliable.
