I understand Luke is the literary artist of the New Testament. The narrative of his work is truly epic, starting in Nazareth and ending in Rome. Furthermore, Luke's work contains an elaborate and mystical blend of tragedy, comedy, and drama. He writes in the most elegant and well-polished Greek of the New Testament authors. What are some reliable resources for this subject?

I can't speak to whether your homework question is indeed true (today's perspective, or early Christian, or early greek). But there's quite a bit of discussion of Luke relative to hebrew, greek talents being interesting, but not key. A good example (of many) is comparing hebrew story-telling setups to detailed ancient practice, and then, Luke's similar approach:
