I am finishing up some graduate work and need to be able to footnote directly out of Logos 4 to Microsoft word. I have been told by several people on the boards that this fix is coming with Logos 4.1. Do we know when 4.1 will be ready?
No we don't. Logos doesn't announce timetables for the release of updates. Based on my observations 4.1 is still a ways off. There are plenty of small bugs that should be fixed before release. Also, given the departure from 4.0a,b,c,d naming pattern and the Mac side entering Beta I half expect Logos to release 4.1 and the "gold" Mac version at the same time (I could be wrong, this is just speculation) if this is the case it would be very difficult to forecast a release schedule.
With all this said, you don't have to wait for the final 4.1 release. You could create a separate User account for the 4.1 Beta (or use the Beta on your main account and have a separate account for the stable version) to get access to the bug fix for the footnote issue. The 4.1 beta is remarkably stable. There was a kerfuffle with some Sentence diagrams being lost after a file-format changed, but I think Logos will do its best to sort it out.
