What does the Greek letter v imply in Philemon six? I've seen it translated in a variety of ways, but I have not been able to figure out what Paul meant by it, particularly in relation to the next sentence, which we may translate as "it will be effective to work in you the knowledge of all the good things you have in Christ." I am aware of John's use of the word "communion" to refer to a grouping of both human and divine people. Paul appears to be using this term in the same sense when he uses it again in verse 17, but how should this word be translated or understood in this verse?
