I see two different versions of the same source. The Theocratic Kingdom of Our Lord Jesus, the Christ (3 vols.) by George N. H. Peters Publisher: Funk & Wagnalls and The Theocratic Kingdom by George N. H. Peters Publisher: Pleasant Places. What is the difference?

The Pleasant Places edition places all three volumes in one file. The Funk & Wagnalls edition contains a file or resource for each volume. I prefer the three-volume Funk & Wagnalls edition because I can open volume 3 to consult its indexes while reading one of the other volumes.

I actually have both editions. I rarely use the single file edition. I have used it to do a search of the entire set at once.

Just a tip: you can easily open another copy of an already open resource by just right clicking on it in your Library and choosing "Open in a new tab" or "Open in a floating window".
