I have searched for info about this but haven't found anything.

When I right click on a scripture number (in bible) to add a note (like in L3) the box pops up.

In the bottom right it says, "Add a note to "Numbers".....always.

Should not this link to the text I'm trying to add note to?

It always says "Add note to "Numbers", regardless of what book/scripture I'm reading.

I'm using mac.

Having not used the Notes feature extensively, I believe what's going on is that you've got a Notes document called "Numbers", and Logos is giving you the option of adding a Note to that document attached to the selected text.

Having not used the Notes feature extensively, I believe what's going on is that you've got a Notes document called "Numbers", and Logos is giving you the option of adding a Note to that document attached to the selected text.

That's exactly what is happening. And I suspect the notes document is named after the book "Numbers". The context menu will actual show that option for the most recently opened Notes document, even if no notes documents are currently open. If you're taking notes in a couple of different documents, then open both documents and it will give you options for both.
