I could add all the listed QStart layouts from the Dashboard menu in Beta 2.

No, they were not.
MJ was right - I just tried adding JUST the Search and Devotional Quick Starts to my Home Page, and it immediately quit/crashed after about 2 seconds of spinning ball (Mac/Verbum, Beta 2 ver 26.0.9). I had done no customization either. Logs attached...

Thank you for the logs MJ and Don. I was also unable to reproduce this crash, I am going to keep looking into this and pass along the logs to our dev team.
Did you have one custom layout on the home page and request the two mentioned (and only them) be added? That would replicate my conditions. It is a totally repeatable crash for me.
I have no custom layouts on my Home page, but I do have 6 other Quick Start layouts already selected and on the Home Page -
Passage Study
Hebrew Study
Greek study
Psalms Explorer
Proverbs Explorer
Topic Study
I couldn't reproduce a crash on that scenario (and I tried them individually as well as together).
