The Book of Saints. London: A & C Black, 1921.

Watkins, Dom Basil, ed. The Book of Saints: A Comprehensive Biographical Dictionary. London; Oxford; New York; New Delhi; Sydney: Bloomsbury T&T Clark: An Imprint of Bloomsbury Publishing Plc, 2016.

Is there a reason that these are indexed only by headword and not by date? Most of the saint resources have both indexes.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Thanks for the report! I looked into this, and it looks like the omission is intentional for these resources. The "date" index is part of several interconnected tools and processes, and is deployed very carefully as a result.

It was the absence of these books where very similar books are included that caused me to report them as an error.  They fail to appear in the day-year Factbook record under the Saint section which is not limited to nor even primarily consisting of sanctoral cycles but rather is made up of saint reference materials.
