I am trying to find a way to memorize Bible verses. Any suggestions?
There is a Memorization Tool included in the beta version of Logos 26. I haven't tried it, since I'm not using the beta versions these days, but you can probably expect it to be shipped solid within a few weeks.
There are also some Logos books that might help:
Topical Memory System: Hide God’s Word in Your Heart (developed by The Navigators)
Scripture by Heart: Devotional Practices for Memorizing God's Word by Joshua Choonming Kang
Scripture Memory Made Easy by Mark Water
An Approach to Extended Memorization of Scripture by Andy Davis
Why You Really Can Memorize Scripture: Understand and Unlock Your Mind’s Natural Ability to Memorize Long Passages by Daniel Morris
Bible Memory Plan: 52 Verses You Should --and CAN--Know compiled by Barbour Staff (gives the technique, not just for these 52 verses, but for an ongoing habit)
The new memorization feature, as near as I can tell, is just a new button to access the feature that has long existed in passage lists. Just open a passage list and click "memorize" at the top. I like the one that hides everything except the first letter.
Yes, the Passage List has a memorization option. In the current beta, the tool is being broken out of the Passage List so it is more easily found.
Here’s a new one that looks good, but is still in prepub: https://www.logos.com/product/251885/how-to-memorize-scripture-for-life-from-one-verse-to-entire-books

It is a good booklet but it is available for free online under the old title “An Approach to the Extended Memorization of Scripture” and I don’t see the value of 30 page pamphlet in Logos for $5. Your mileage may vary.
I've used the “An Approach to the Extended Memorization of Scripture" that Rosie listed above and found it helpful. [Y]

Is this the same resource? It's available for .99

I have the book; the only difference is this one has a few new chapters.
i wish this were available in the mobile app. this feature would be much more powerful if i weren’t tied to my desk computer but could practice memorization anywhere, as long as i had my phone or ipad.
When I was much, much younger, I was part of the Bible Quiz Program for my denomination (AoG).
The method that was suggested we try was the following.
Get the Translation you want to memorize from.
Find the verse (or verses on at a time) that you want to memorize.
Then write (copy) the verse down longhand and while you are writing it down say each word out loud.
Do this several times.
You are seeing (reading) the verse. You are speaking the verse out loud (hearing it). You are physically writing it down (having to think about what you are writing).
Doing this several times helps to implant the verse firmly in your mind. It does work (at lease it did for me).
Then for one of your times writing the verse out, do so on a 3x5 index card. Put the verse reference on the back of the card and keep a few with you in your pocket. Pull the cards out whenever you have a few free minutes and quiz (test) yourself to see how well you are doing at recalling the verse. You can also just read over the verse to keep it fresh in your mind.
Just one method for your consideration.
