I am trying to understand this verse. John 5:46 εἰ γὰρ ἐπιστεύετε Μωϋσεῖ [Focus] ἐπιστεύετε ἂν ἐμοί [Focus] περὶ γὰρ ἐμοῦ ἐκεῖνος ἔγραψεν This verse has a beautiful parallel structure because the verb is in the first place. The verb is given a slightly different status than normal in John's formulation. I have looked in commentaries but they do not expell the Greek.

New Jerusalem Bible best picks up the actual greek, and the visual display of the phrasing.

Plummer in John (ICC) best discusses the greek nuance (and not necessarily in support of the 'beautiful parallel structure').  Such is 'deconstructionism' (your other thread).
