I found an old thread on this (https://community.logos.com/forums/p/38368/287087.aspx#287087) but surely by now there is a way to open a saved layout without closing down the current one? I know once a layout is opened a tab can be made separate, but I sometimes want to open a layout (like one with all my Greek or Hebrew lexicons, for looking up a word) in a different window while retaining what I have.
Unfortunately, no. Though if you think about it, what would users do next ... save the old or save the new. And if more added, which one?
As regards your present lexicon issue, your best bet is to use Multiple Book Display. The vertical-bars icon above each book display.
- The initial book 'remembers' the added MBD choices (eg HALOT, followed by other hebrew lexicons). So, later opening HALOT (as example) opens all the others. Open in a window, or tile/tab.
- You can have several. Maybe one led by BDAG for greek, another led by HALOT for hebrew.
- Also works great for commentaries, 'led' by a Bible.
Well, that is interesting. I have used Logos less than a year so am learning all the "tricks." Thanks!
