How would I search for all of God's direct speech not spoken of by anybody else? For example I wouldn't want a passage like Genesis 48:4 where Jacob is saying what God said.

In addition to that, I would like every time God performs an action.

any help is greatly appreciated!

Try speaker:God NOT LDHB:"Reported Speech (Level 2)" where:

‵Reported Speech (Level 2)′: Sentences that are part of a spoken dialogue but are embedded within another speech. For the sake of reference, these sentences are indented two levels below the main verb of speaking that introduces the main speech. They are labeled according to their function like other sentences.

In addition to that, I would like every time God performs an action.

This could be a typical failure of NOT but the tagging comes to its rescue e.g. Gen 3:3 has both Eve and God as the speaker and the tagging includes both (direct) Reported Speech and Reported Speech (Level 2), so it is excluded. But  NOT fails where God speaks and is also quoting himself e.g. Gen 3:17 where  'you shall not eat of it' is tagged as both direct speech and Level 2.  Ditto for Gen 18.13. Unfortunately, there is no way around this thanks to the tagging!

    Thanks Dave

I wasn't sure it would cover all cases properly.
