Welcome to the forums!
You can install the Logos iPadOS mobile app, but not the desktop app. It's a completely different experience but one that takes advantage of the iPad's touch-centric UI.

Whilst one cannot run the desktop app on an iPad one can
1 Install the Bible Study App.
2. Run app.logos.com.
neither matches the Desktop app for functionality but both are useful in there own way.

Yes, I am a Logos user; and, trying to get around buying a new notebook! I have an older Android tablet, and I'm hoping the Mac could replace it. And it will if I settle for not having all my functionality. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your help Mike. Appears I'll need to update the hardware after all is said and done.

This is phrased the wrong way. The Mac will have "all the functionality." The Android device will not.

Another question, which would run the desktop application better, Windows or Mac? Thanks; Happy Father's Day.

Probably the Mac M1/M2 might be temporarily? snappier (your study speed is the major factor). Your comfort level with the system is the better question.
Plus the Mac version of Logos tends to have more need-to-fix bugs (my experience), but has the interesting advantage of running many iPad apps (and linkage to the iPad).
For anyone else thinking iPad alone, I did that for several years. The big limiter is library management (tagging, collections), and online requirements.
