Logos has quite a bit on Herod the Great, and the leadup with the Hasmonians. It has little on the actual dynasty, until now, with Chilton's volume. And Chilton's a good writer (several volumes on Logos).
So, if you like history, it's available to 'vote'. My interest has been Antipas; the presentation in the synoptics concerning John the Baptist isn't as consistent as you'd assume. Then, there's Josephus.
