Search error

I'm using a simple query in the search box and am getting strange results.  

When I typed Type:comm it didn't give me a list of commentaries in the dropdown and then when I put AND Subject:gal and pressed enter it says 'Unknown keyword Subject'.  What am I doing wrong?

    after I wrote this i see what I did wrong.  I needed to put the Type and Subject query in the 'books' search window - not the main search line.
