Filter book search results by author
Hi all,
Is there a way to limit search results by author? If I search in Books for all references to Hab 1:13, I get hundreds of results. If I'm looking for a reference from a particular author, I tried a search like this:
bible:="Hab 1:13" AND author:name
That delivered no results.
I also tried:
bible:="Hab 1:13" AND journalarticle:author:name
That worked, but it only works for journal resources. How do I search for authors in all book resources?

Hi Colin - and welcome to the forums
How do I search for authors in all book resources?
If you click on the All Books link you will get a dropdown where you can enter an author name using author:"name" and then select the corresponding option from the dropdown
This will run the search against just those books written by that author (or where that individual was one of the authors)

Not in exactly the same way.
For mobile you need to use a collection which you define on the desktop. You could use a rule such as author:"clifton allen" - using my example above.
This would then by synced to mobile where you can constrain your search to that collection
