A free pardon from God would be in accord with a just outcome because God is the supreme lawgiver and the sovereign over creation. Therefore, why would there need to be a third party to endure the punishment owed to people if God chooses to provide humanity salvation and reconciliation? And why would such a pardon be anything less than a perfectly just result? How can I locate the various perspectives on this controversy from a biblical perspective?
