Book of Life vs Tree of Life Rev 3:5

I'm so confused: all over the internet, it is sited that 'many' translations [NASB, ESV, NLT, HCSB, ISV, NET and ASV to name a few] translate the text from Rev 3:5 as "TREE" instead of 'BOOK'; yet my Logos library has EVERY translation [I opened 22 translations] including those aforementioned as "BOOK"?! The internet sources are siting the error of Erasmus in translating from the Latin Vulgate of a misprint of the Latin lingo (tree) with libro (book).

How do I 'verify' the 'Logos' editions of EVERY Bible Translation is rendering the correct verbiage for Rev 3:5?

Well, I guess, compare the Logos versions to something like Bible Gateway? Actually the expertise at Faithlife exceeds most internet sources.

I went back and checked the available greek, going back to 1550 (Stephens) ... no trees. That's it on greek in Logos. And english translations back to 1382 ('boke of lijf'). On latin you can't go back beyond Clementine for Apocalypsis (I could be wrong), which is libro. So, tracking back to Erasmus in Logos not do-able.

Ignore the verbiage of the Internet! The Latin Vulgate error with Erasmus had been overcome in later TR Greek and critical Greek bibles that use biblos and are used by modern translations. biblos is usually translated as "book" in my 38 translations (REB uses "roll" and two others use "scroll").

The Douay-Rheims Holy Bible, translated from the Latin Vulgate in 1582, uses "book".

Are the websites saying that 'book' is correct or that 'tree' is correct? I checked various editions of both the vulgate and the Greek text and they both say 'book'. The access to the 'tree of life' is referenced in Rev 2:7 and 22:14, not Rev 3:5. The Greek NT says 'book', so 'book' is correct.

I think the websites you're reading are referencing the wrong verse. According to this blog, this issue is in Rev 22:19, not Rev 3:5. In Rev 22:19, "tree of life" is the correct Greek reading, but Erasmus pulled "book of life" from a Latin text of Revelation. The "book of life" reading made it into the Textus Receptus and KJV (and thus the NKJV and MEV), but modern translations have "tree of life" which is what all Greek manuscripts that are not the TR say. So in Rev 22:19, "tree of life" is the correct reading.

BTW another example of Eramus using the Latin Vulgate is Acts 9:5-6:
