BSM Replacement

Is the Logos Blog going to include articles of interviews from church leaders and some "general church updates" like Bible Study Magazine did? Also, is Logos going to periodically email out new articles on the site?

One benefit I got from BSM was reading the interviews with other church leaders and some of the "general church updates". Since COVID, I've felt quite a bit "out of touch" with what's occurring in the church. BSM was one source that filled that void, and I'd like to see if Logos Blog does the same.

Also, is Didaktikos Journal going to continue to be published in print? I'm considering getting it, but I don't want to subscribe then have it discontinued.

Nathan—Mark Ward here, former editor of the now retired BSM. Could you be more specific about the kind of content you're missing? We're all ears. Much or most of the kind of content that we put into BSM is now going to Word by Word, the Logos blog, to which I encourage you to subcribe: logos.com/grow/subscribe. But some of those specifics seemed to us to fit better in a magazine than on a blog. Maybe we were wrong. So, again, can you give some specifics? Pieces you remember? Other things you'd like to see on the blog?

Thanks for chiming in!

Back when BSM was published, you frequently featured interviews from pastors or other ministry leaders on Bible study. These were a huge help in keeping me current about learning about various ministry leaders (some I were familiar with, others not as much). Also, when I read BSM, I felt like I was "keeping current" with the current state of the church in general. I'll try to brainstorm on more specifics that I enjoyed in BSM.

Post-COVID, I feel like I've become "out of touch" with the current state of the church that I haven't been able to fully gain back. I attended one of my local Baptist conventions in my state, and I've tried to read up on various "church news" websites, but I still feel like I'm falling behind in really getting a pulse on the current state of the church since COVID hit. It's a situation I definitely don't want to be in.

I've signed up to receive the "Word by Word" newsletters and will check those out as they come in. While Logos is pivoting away from some of the church technology services to going back to being a Bible software provider (which is a smart move), if you can continue to interview various pastors and ministry leaders on Bible study topics and have various ministry leaders talk with Logos about where the church is today and where it's headed (maybe on "Word by Word" and "Logos Live"), these would be valuable pieces of content I would consume regularly.

Good to know about Didakitos. I won't subscribe at the moment.
