Research Search Suggestions

I am writing a research paper on the idea of being drunk with wine vs drunk in the Spirit (Ephesians 5:17-21) and would like to focus on the connection of being under the control of something changing our behavior. My intentions are to limit the research to the usages of "fill" and "full" in relationship to the Spirit and am wondering if anyone has search suggestions to better narrow down my research? In addition, I would like to better understand how a believer’s spiritual gardens can flourish according to Galatians 5 and how this relates to Ephesians 5. Do our spiritual gardens flourish through the obedience or by simply relying on the mercies of God?

I am new to Logos and still learning about tagging, morph searches, etc. so anything helps!

We can't discuss theology/interpretation according to Forum Guidelines (thread at top of this forum) but we can point you to methods within Logos.

I would recommend Passage Guide and use the Commentaries that it recommends for these passages. You would need to be precise about the passages for "spiritual gardens". But an alternative is to Search your library for spiritual NEAR gardens with Match all forms set (an icon in the Search toolbar) as that gives results in commentaries and other books in my Library.(but no results for Gal 5 and Eph 5).

Try (fill OR full) NEAR match.case:Spirit with "Match all forms" set. The latter will affect all words (e.g. finding 'filled', 'fullness') whilst match.case:Spirit ensures a match for capital "S" with "Spirit".

Jerome's suggestion (above) can be usefully employed in a Passage Guide for Eph 5:17-21. Look in the Cross References section and click on the book name he suggests (The New Treasury of Scripture Knowledge).
