Searching via "Headings"

Anyone know if searching only within "headings" works?

For example, I build an archive of sermons or articles that consist of several hundred sermons/articles. I broke down the headings the following way: Heading 1/Year, Heading 2/Series, Heading 3/Sermon/Article Title. I want to be able to search only the title of each sermon.

In general (Logos library), a combination of 'Headings' and 'Large Text' works ... meaning the results are either headwords, and/or heading text (which can be at various levels). The reason for both, is it depends on the resource, and when/how it was brought in (coded, etc).

So, realistically, you should just test a few. I'm guessing it won't work (trying to pull a specific level). If I were doing mine, I'd just put a unique key word in the title. Then, you don't have to worry later software changes.

Personal Books (logos.com) gives the necessary syntax to add headings that are recognized as such by the personal book compiler. An alternative is to add Sermon labels to your sermons in the same format as the Logos supplied sermon labels. You can then find them in the same way that you find others' sermons. The final option would be to import them into the Sermon manager. Choose your option and one of us will provide the details.

In a Personal Book you should set that up as a Headword e.g Sermon 1 [[@Headword:Sermon 1]] which will all be part of the docx Heading 3. And the Search will be headword:"Sermon 1".

If you want any part of a heading you can use heading/largetext:(Series OR Sermon)
