L/V 10+ Tip of the Day #227 Context Menu: Labels: Dream and Vision
Another tip of the day (TOTD) series for Logos/Verbum 10. They will be short and often drawn from forum posts. Feel free to ask questions and/or suggest forum posts you'd like to see included. Adding comments about the behavior on mobile and web apps would be appreciated by your fellow forumites. A search for "L/V 10+ Tip of the Day site:community.logos.com" on Google should bring the tips up as should this Reading List within the application.
This tip is inspired by the forum post: L/V 10+ Tip of the Day #226 Context Menu:Labels: Oath and Vow - Logos Forums
Dreams and visions are another pair of labels similar to oaths and vows. The defined attributes are:

Every instance of dreams and visions in the Old Testament, New Testament, and Apocrypha are annotated in the All the Dreams and Visions in the Bible Dataset.

• vision:* INTERSECTS (afraid OR fear) — Finds all visions that also contain the words "afraid" or "fear."
Again, this is a label not represented by a facet in the Bible Browser. Again, the documentation gives a narrative description of the attributes and provides a list of related Bible Knowledge elements. The documentation is Parks, Jessica. All the Dreams and Visions in the Bible. Faithlife Biblical and Theological Lists. Bellingham, WA: Faithlife, 2021.
The context menu and search are as expected. This is a good example of how long the search argument for a specific vision can be: "vision:(description:"The word of God came to Abraham in a vision." AND event:event:"God makes a covenant with Abram" AND eventContext:"Abraham and Sarah had no children." AND message:"God told Abraham not to be afraid and promised him a son, descendants, and land. God then instructed him to bring sacrifices." AND outcome:"Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness. Sarah eventually gave birth to Isaac." AND participantSeen:person:God AND seer:person:Abraham AND thingSeen:thing:Dove AND thingSeen:thing:Ox AND thingSeen:thing:Sheep AND thingSeen:thing:Star AND title:topic:"Abraham Sees a Vision of God" AND type:topic:Vision)" Remember that only sufficient attributes to uniquely identify the vision are required. You can find similar visions by listing only the attributes you want to match e.g. all the visions of Abraham.
Note that hover over the label in the Context Menu produces a tooltip that lists the attributes.
Also note that many of the labels are represented by records in Factbook:
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
