It used to be default to have to turn them on. Now I can't get rid of them.

AFAIK If I have a link like Wiki page I just highlight it and remove the link from the toolbar links icon.
If I type or paste a chapter/verse, it automatically creates a link. I pasted some text from NASB95 and the title New American Standard Bible in the footnote was a link, and I couldn't even select it in order to try to turn off the link.
Let me be clear: I DON'T WANT LINKS IN MY NOTES unless I choose to add them. That means I don't want to have to un-link-ify any text in the notes I create. How do I make that happen?

If your original problem description was clear, there would have been no need for this. But this is the second post today in which I have encountered your aggression, so perhaps you should take your own advice and avoid using Logos.
