Can I use my birthday coupon to upgrade to Logos 10?
I don't see why not. You should be able to.
This post - https://community.logos.com/forums/t/214791.aspx - from Cheyenne explicitly says people do this.
That'd be a great use for it for sure. But I just saw today that they switched the coupon to be like an Advance Auto Parts coupon - spend over $50 and save $20. It used to be straight up $20 with no strings attached (other than you had to use it during your birthday month.)
I wish it was still like that.
I do too Jeff and for that reason I did not use it.
This is also my birthday month. I'm not complaining about why they changed the coupon--obviously the old way was better for us, but I can understand why it might not be good for Logos/Faithlife. I had no plan or idea of what I was going to use it on, but then I checked my wishlist: I've been regretting not picking up Gordon Fee's commentary on 1 Cor. years ago when it went on sale with a deep "March Madness" discount. Today I saw it is on sale: normal price is $52, now $26. If the coupon worked the old way, I'd get it for $6, which might be hard for FL to swallow. (Last year I used it on Raymond Brown's two volume commentary on John: normal price $80, on sale for $40, $20 with my coupon.)
To get it up to $50, likely I'll just add some of the +1 discounted items on the free book of the month page that I would have gotten anyway. Or a few small legacy libraries I haven't picked up yet. I see that as a good deal for both me and FL.
