re: problem with Beta 4.10.4

1. I have Beta 4.10.4 and I cannot get the subsequent downloads to Mount.

2. My search box is not working. Bible searches produce no results

3. My command box does not work, especially "Update Now" and "Indexing" commands

4. This has been a problem since A-16....I have posted about it. Some have tried to help me. The last help I got suggested maybe some of my files were corrupted.

5. Automatic download and indexing does not work.

6. Bottom line is I'm way behind on being able to utilize the system. I need the simplest 'fix' on this. Even if that means downloading the whole mac program again. I would appreciate any help or suggestions with this. Thanks.

What does it say at the top of the window? "4.10.4" has been the first four digits of the full version number since Alpha 23 (all the digits in that number are significant).

Downloading the whole program again is no big deal.

Just pop up to the first post in this forum item 6 item 7 and download the latest version and let it install.

No need to delete anything at this stage.

Item 7 tells you how to download the latest version and simply says:

7) Downloading the latest release

One of my MANY problems is that I can't get the latest release to mount. It downloads past the 70 MB and continues downloading up to 80+ MB and then says "It could not Mount".

I will try again though. Previously...the update releases have not helped with my other problems:

1. Command space does not work, especially "Update now" and "Indexing"

2. Automatic updates do not work

3. Bible search option does not give any results.

Hi Dave,

This is not one of the common problems that users have experienced.

I don't think uninstalling is likely to help - the new download should simply overwrite the old one.

So I have reached the limit of my limited understanding and move aside for Tommy or Tom to step up to the plate.

If cannot mount disk image, reinstall not possible. Hence, uninstall not a good idea.

One cause for an unmountable disk image is a corrupted file (possibly network transfer timeout or connection issue). Clicking http://www.logos.com/logos4mac should download Logos4Mac.dmg file => 74,580,456 bytes (74.6 MB).

Curious how downloading ? (e.g. Safari, Firefox, ...)

Forum http://community.logos.com/forums/t/6731.aspx has log posting tutorial.

Wonder about restarting Mac, watch for Blue Icon in menu bar - can open Indexer.log file to view progress.

Once Blue Icon, disappears, try mounting disk image. Then post a zip file with console messages and Indexer.log files.
