L/V 10+ Tip of the Day #244 Finding LXX references in NA28
Another tip of the day (TOTD) series for Logos/Verbum 10. They will be short and often drawn from forum posts. Feel free to ask questions and/or suggest forum posts you'd like to see included. Adding comments about the behavior on mobile and web apps would be appreciated by your fellow forumites. Some tasks you still have to put work into although your books and Logos can help.
In Logos the cross references are in the Apparatus. I have NA28 Apparatus and can search it using heading/largetext:Genesis. But it is a section like
.2.6.9. = Gen 1:2, 6, 9 2s = Gen 1:2 (not sure about the 's') 2K = 2 Cor
So you have to do some deciphering when printed, but hovering in Logos gives the English references.
It does not clarify whether the cross references are taken from the LXX or Hebrew. And any OT quotation in the NA28 Bible is in Greek, so you have to manually compare NT Greek with its OT Greek in LXX e.g. Gen 1:2 LXX with 2 Cor 4:6
