Why is it everything you sell is marked at an unchristian like price. Can't you sell one thing with retired people on fixed income prices.
What Logos resource do you want and what are you wiling to pay?
Jim, as someone currently out of work I can appreciate the frustrations of your current income situation. However, many factors influence price but I don't think we can evaluate a price by the attribute of whether or not it is christian. From personal experience with the CEO Bob Pritchett what I can say he makes a strong effort to live out his life in order to bring Glory to God in his business activities and the same could be said of the rest of the Logos staff I have had the pleasure of dealing with while using Logos Bible Software.
Jim you are in my prayers today.
How does free sound? You can download free books on this wiki page at http://wiki.logos.com/Free_Logos_Books. The engine is also free. To call Logos prices "unchristian" is a bit unfair. Keep in mind that the prices are strictly for the book licenses (and some extra functionality in the engine for base packages). Considering the publisher gets a chunk of this, and Logos perpetually tags and mantains the files, there is nothing unchristian about their prices. Remember, Logos is a business. In order to stay in business, they need to make money. For base packages, you would be hard pressed to purchase the paper equivalent (even used) cheaper than Logos prices.
I have a 6 vol, , 1700 page set of dictionaries on order for $9.
I have another 6 vol. dictionary set on order for $6

You get to set the price that you want to pay.

Just checking that you know that Logos sales can often give you a discount and that Logos allows you to pay over time. I'm also a retiree on pension.
retired people on fixed income
Hi Jim,
I am also retired and still have 9 kids living at home. My retirement income is only about 25% of what I used to make. So I can relate to living on finite resources.
Without sounding "preachy" may I remind you Abraham paid for Sarah's tomb? The parables of the kingdom keep mentioning the seeker sold everything they had to purchase their pearl, field or whatever.
If I want Logos software bad enough, I do without other things to free up funds to purchase the resources. No, I can't buy everything I'd like to [:'(] . But I have way more than I deserve.
A Logos Rep can help you get started for a small (affordable) payment. Even the cheapest base package can be a great tool for your Bible study. Then, as time goes on, you can add a lot of neat titles to your library for very good prices. Only an incredibly wealthy person can buy everything Logos is publishing. But at least they are publishing it.
