Narrative categories of text
I am trying to find the different narrative categories of text. A narrative text entertains, instructs or informs readers by telling a story. As a student in the biblical text, I need to learn the purposes and methods of narration in order to understand the narrative framework and to eliminate frustration when I read. What is a good search to find this in Logos?

I would turn to discourse linguistics or literary theory to answer this question even for sources used by Logos e.g. Amazon.com: The Grammar of Discourse (Topics in Language and Linguistics): 9780306452352: Longacre, Robert E.: Books or Amazon.com: Genre Relations: Mapping Culture (Equinox Textbooks and Surveys in Linguistics): 9781845530488: Rose, J R Martin and David: Books
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

If you are asking how to search your resources, try title:narrative in your library window. Or search for "narrative" in your resources.
If you're asking for books to learn this topic, I would suggest Alter, The Art of the Biblical Narrative. It is the "classic" work on this topic. See also Fokkelmann, Reading Biblical Narrative; L. Ryken, How Bible Stories Work (Logos title).
