L/V 10+ Tip of the Day Apologies
Yes, I've been flakey re: daily posts ... unfortunately my mind is sidetracked by another project and when I'm hot on a rabbit trail, I forget about finding a topic for a post.
Examples of my rabbit trails:
Did you know that some sources say 1 Clement is canonical among the Copts ... but Coptic sites say its not. The reason for the discrepancy is that the Copts use it as if it were canonical in their Synaxarium. So its a matter of how the use of "canon" is standardized. On the other hand, I find no sources that say 1 Clement in canonical among the Ethiopians, although they say is it. It is hidden as a part of the Book of Clement rather than as an independent book. And did you know the Ethiopian book of Sinodos (think synods as an oversimplication) has an Melkite and Arab-Copt background. I will get back to more boring entries and remember the tip of the day, honest. In the meantime, I apologize.
