There is no comprehensive interpretive framework in New Testament scholarship to comprehend Judean identity. In the scholarship on the historical Jesus, where the topic of Jewish identity and formation is most hotly contested, this lack of interpretive framework is quite acute. Finding and creating a model of Judean ethnicity is what I'm after. What are some good sources?
