BUG Greek Word LOGOS

1. Create a Word Study on the Greek word "logos"

2. Set the translation section translation to Logos LXX translation

3. Expand the Septuagint translation section. Note that there are 1193 occurrences of the ter and that the bar considers the entire LXX canon.

4. Expand the translation section for which one would set the translation to Logos LXX; there are only 328 occurrences and the canon is limited to the New Testament

Can you actually do this?

I know it is present in the dropdown menu but when I select it, it doesn't "take" and the previously selected resource stays in place.

I think this is due to my point above.

I think the bug, if any, is that the LXX is presented as an option in the Translation section dropdown.

The Septuagint translation ring is Hebrew- Greek

The Translation translation ring is Greek-English

Why would you expect them to match? The only reason that the Translation ring appears in the Translation translation ring is for the deuterocanonicals with Greek as the original language.

No, think deuterocanonicals which like the New Testament are Greek-->English but for me, it doesn't work -- it reverts to my default Bible.

Speaking from ignorance, I'd think they'd be in the ballpark (assuming the same matching apocrypha/deutero). Both are looking at greek logos, one > hebrew, the other > english. As per my comment in the Bug-thread, I get 1178 for LES2 (Translation circle), and 978 for Logos-1935 (Rahlfs; LXX Translation circle).

Added: OK, I was wrong (obviously). Rahlfs (Logos) picks up EsdrasB but not the apocrypha. Ergo the 200 difference.

Provide a screenshot of the Word Study showing both sections.

An LXX bible does not include the New Testament and Logos LXX = Septuagint with Logos Morphology (Rahlfs). The Translation section does not accommodate this bible because it is Greek-Hebrew, which is handled in the Septuagint Translation section.
