    I'm not sure what you are referring to

    This is nothing to do with Text Comparison but simply the Reverse Interlinear display. And you need to click / select a word to populate the ribbon at the bottom

    I'm not sure how you got into a state where chapter 2 shows the inline interlinear data but chapter 1 does not. Try toggling off the Interlinears button in the panel tool bar and toggling it back on.
