What does the Bible says about sense of urgency versus importance?
That's not really going to be a biblical topic without a lot of very modern back-projection. Maybe a Proverb could be turned in such a way to talk about it...
In general, to help you with these questions, I'd suggest reading the Bible intently, from cover to cover and more than once, to get a feel for the sort of topics it covers.
How can I find this in Logos?
Search your library for urgen* NEAR importan*
Probably not helpful, but in a Charles Swindoll book I read years ago, one chapter was called The Tyranny of the Urgent, where he said the urgent was like a spoilt child sitting in the corner screaming and kicking his legs, while the important just stood quietly. So the natural parent reaction is to attend to the one in the corner to get them to be quiet and calm, instead of dealing with the important.
The only scriptures I can think of talk about Jesus' return or our own passing, emphasising both important and urgent at the same time, such as Rom 13:11.
I wonder..... is Christian using the forums to write his papers and not actually studying for himself? hmmm....... [8-|]
Buy this classic book. It's really cheap at only $1.99.

In addition, search for the phrase "tyranny of the urgent" in your library. It has become a catchphrase that many authors use to discuss the difference between urgent and important. Some of them will likely reference Scripture.

He has told us he has brain challenges (I can't quite remember what they are at the moment without searching the forums), so yes he is asking for help writing his papers. I try to give him some leeway on that, but his repeated requests do wear on me. I really don't think someone with this level of neediness is qualified to be working on a master's degree, and I question whether it's worth his time (or our time) and money. I can't imagine what it will be like when he gets to the thesis stage. The amount of hand-holding that would require boggles the mind.
Beyond school or a thesis, I wonder about the profession/ministry this level of education would prepare someone for.
I wonder that too. Sometimes people study for their own enrichment, even at the graduate level. I did my master's degree for that reason with no need or desire to seek a job in that field. But Christian indicated in another post that he doesn't even have enough money to upgrade to Logos 10, so I can't imagine he wouldn't be hoping to find employment somehow, maybe teaching at a lower level that wouldn't require a PhD. But even then, I can't see how he'd be able to prepare his lectures without an army of teaching assistants.
Lew and Rosie - story time. I acknowledge that the final results end up anywhere from apparently normal to little progress but my story. We had a colleague, a computer operator in a large installation including the regional web hub who had a severe stroke when she was thirty. She was out several months but when she returned she was always carrying a math or science textbook to relearn what she had lost. Other operators originally were frustrated that she performed like she was absolutely new to the job - slow, ignorant, and unable to think things through. It took time but five years in, there was no evidence of her stroke ... she was back to being very competent and on a career path. We don't know whether Christian will or will not make it back to where his education will become useful.
As for why I am so insistent, I have a niece with severe cerebral palsy who is confined to a wheel chair and "speaks" through a speech board and a dot on her forehead. After several years of designing speech boards for others, she became a school consultant for special education. She's even been to the White House for her work with others who, like her, can do little more on their own than speak through an electronic speech board. Yes, I am very proud of Faye.

Thanks for the input Rosie. I didn't know it.

Hey, you sharing your personal struggles has helped some of us not to jump the gun on the judging department. As human beings we tend to judge too soon without knowing people’s actual circumstances 👍😁👌
