Touching anywhere on the screen will auto-highlight

Why is it that on the iPhone touching anywhere on the screen will auto-highlight?

    Christian, I answered this in another post today -- https://community.logos.com/forums/p/217675/1267378.aspx#1267378.

    The answer in short is that it is not auto-highlighting. Instead it is selecting whatever it is that you tap. It is doing so in order to let you begin the highlight process or note process or one of several other processes with the selected text. If you don't want to do anything with the selected text then simply tap somewhere else on the display to dismiss the card that is offering these options with the selected text.
