Reading Plan Reference Links Issue
When I load my layout for reading Greek, my reading plan opens, along with:
- Lexham Rahlf's LXX
- Septuagint with Logos Morphology
- ESV (default Bible)
- Lexham English Septuagint 2nd edition
- A New English Translation of the Septuagint
- Brenton's LXX
- Lexicons, favourites, BWS and more.
All of these are linked to the A Link Set.
When I click on the links to the Old Testament in my reading plan, it attempts to pull open the reference in the ESV (as it should), but always opens to Gen 6:9 instead. It will do that 2 or 3 times before it opens to the actual reference that I clicked. Gen 6:9 is the first reference in my reading plan. I think it is also the position that's saved in my layout - the Bibles always start there when I open the layout.
I suspect that when I click the reference the ESV attempts to go there, but then it is somehow pulled back to Gen 6:9 by one of the other resources it is linked to.

You are absolutely right in your analysis. Before you close your layout, use the layout menu's "update current" option to update the layout.

I understand that is a workaround, however this is a bug that also needs to be fixed. When I click on a link in my reading plan, the ESV should go straight there. I shouldn't need to click it two or three times for it to work.

If you want it to work automatically, you must modify the "Bible reading plan" Quickstart layout as it has the linkage for the automatic date matching. From your description, I had assumed you did not wish to reuse the layout provided but were creating your own so that multiple date driven layouts were possible. However, you can't have everything you listed linked together as they don't all have the same indexes. All those that are driven by a Bible chapter-verse reference may be linked by link A. But things like lexicons must use a different link e.g. B for words etc. Your reading plan is indexed by date not Bible chapter-verse ... If you list all the open panels and their links, we can probably sort out what is happening ... and what can happen.

I have pasted a screenshot of my layout below. I don't need it to load the current day's reading just by opening the layout. I just want to be able to click a Bible reference in the reading plan one time, and have the English and Greek bibles go to that location straight away. At the moment, I have to click a Bible reference in the reading plan three times before the Bibles will navigate to the correct location.

You need to attach the file via the paperclip icon, next to the large amber-coloured icon.

Hopefully this works:
It does.
For what bible is your Reading Plan created and is it on Link set A? Your preferred bible has nothing to do with the links in the Reading Plan if it was created for another bible.
e.g. when I connect the target of my Reading Plan (NABRE) to other bibles, including my preferred ESV, they all move to the correct passage when I click the link in the Plan.
You have so many books on the link set A, including lexicons, that I doubt the utility of the layout. The lexicon links only work when you click a word in a bible, and I would be tempted to have only one lexicon and use Parallel Book sets to open other lexicons in the same tab.
