Another tip of the day (TOTD) series for Logos/Verbum 10. They will be short and often drawn from forum posts. Feel free to ask questions and/or suggest forum posts you'd like to see included. Adding comments about the behavior on mobile and web apps would be appreciated by your fellow forumites. A search for "L/V 10+ Tip of the Day site:community.logos.com" on Google should bring the tips up as should this Reading List within the application.

This tip is inspired by the forum post: Search curiosity - Logos Forums

Being observant led Rosie to a great hint:

I've noticed that sometimes when I search for a book, the search bar "recognises" the resource, but returns zero result for the book itself.

Don't take the store search bar "recognizing" a book as meaning it has it in its database. You can type any nonsense in that search bar and it will show an apparent match in the dropdown menu, as long as you type in title case.

If you type in all lower-case, that's when you'll be able to tell if you've really got a match or not. It will convert it to title case if it's a title in their catalogue, but not if not.

The book you were looking for does not show up as a match in this way.
