Does anyone know its relation to the NIV Application Commentary series? Is it an abridged set or something new?
On the Walmart website under the description it says, “Abridged: Y” so I guess that means, yes, it’s an abridged version of the bigger set. Way too abridged, but we’ll see how much it’s got to offer.

I could see this being an option for someone concerned about storage space on their mobile device.
I already have the full commentary, so it's not something I will get unless it just happens to be in a bundle I purchase in the future.
Also being Zondervan, very poor pre-pub discount. I'll pass until it's on sale at a deep discount, especially if it really is an abridgement.

I have every volume, except Galatians, in Logos, Olive Tree or Kindle - so quite happy to wait until the abridgement is in a great sale.
