Notebooks and inline note icons

Is there a way to change all of the inline icons in a particular notebook for the note files and not the associated highlighting files?

I tried going in and successfully changed the icon and color; however, now there are icons even for the "highlighter notes" throughout the book I am reading...

    Because you did not separate the Highlights?

    You should select the Notebook and then Type > Notes in the Filters sidebar to avoid the Highlights.
