The startup sound always sounds like it is coming through torn speakers. (and I know my speakers are NOT torn) No other programs are running when I start Logos, so it is not because of system resources.
Does anyone else have this problem?

In the meantime, if it gets to be too annoying, you can disable it by typing "set sounds to off" in the command bar (sounds that you have to manually invoke, such as pronunciations or read aloud, will still work with this setting).
