Reformation Study Bible showing notes only

Good Evening,

I recently purchase the Reformation Study Bible (Bible & Notes). However, when I open the study Bible in Logos, it only opens the notes.

I'm still learning the software so maybe this is normal. But shouldn't that edition also contain the Bible Text?

Welcome to the forums. In Logos, we don't buy a Bible multiple times for multiple Study Bibles. Rather, the study Bible contains only the notes; we buy the Bible once separately. This also allows us to use the notes against the translation of our choice.

Thank you for clarifying! I wish I'd known this before paying for more for the Bible+notes edition than the notes only edition

The way to do this is to return the notes only then buy the Bible+notes edition. Call Logos and they will handle the process to give you the appropriate price.

The Bible and Study Notes should be opened in 2 separate screens.

That is what I purchased.

Are you saying both of those pages should open when I open the “book”? When I select the Reformation Study Bible, the notes open. But I have to go manually open the ESV Bible as well

Right - its two separate books/resources.

Correct and you can link them so the notes follow your Bible reading.

No. You must open the one(s) you want to view.

Correct.

In a print study bible, the notes would be in a separate place on the printed page. Similarly, the notes are in a separate place in Logos. The text of the Bible and the study bible will be in separate panes. There <is> a way to have them in the same pane using the "multiple books display" feature... although I find that less than idea... but other users love it. Conversely, you can have the resources in separate panes (the default behavior) and use a "link set" to keep them "in the same place."
