Show only searched text - possible in desktop app?
Hi,
I would like to know if Logos can highlight or show only the verses I have searched, rather than merely navigating to that location in the Bible.
Here is an example of what I mean, using BibleGateway: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=luke+4%3A16-21&version=ESV
If this is a function Logos is capable of, how can it be done?
Thanks

Try an in-line bible search an see if that gives you what you are looking for.

Typing a Scripture range into the inline search box doesn't show that range of verses for me. It only tends to show the first verse, alongside a number of other passages.

In the panel menu of the search panel try clicking something like ”Send to Inline Search”
Going from memory so might be wrong!

Welcome [:D]
Milestone search can show desired verse(s)
Search results can be saved as a Passage List
Another option is creating a Passage List with desired verse(s).

Bible can be filtered to only show verse(s) in Passage List(s)
My favorite Logos feature is visual filter highlighing so I can "see" range of original language verbal expression plus precept topics.

Thanks, this is pretty much what I was looking for. Unfortunately it's not quite as simple as plugging Scripture references into BibleGateway, so I'll stick with that instead.

not quite as simple as plugging Scripture references into BibleGateway,
Agree. Logos is a scrolling company. Intuitively, you'd think entering a range, or even a list of passages would be an easy to-do. Not for scrolling companies. They have to have you put it in a special list.
But being curious, and limited experience (only 15 years) I tried Passage List out. I put a passage in the little box, as instructed. And nothing happened. It just sat there, for the longest.
BibleGateway.
ADDED (hopefully Kyron is off to BibleGateway). I tried out a list of passages in a resource, right-clicked 'Send to Passage List'. And waited. And waited. I just don't see why it's so difficult for Bellingham to design for 'users'. I remember when Search had this same problem. It happily ignored what you requested, in favor of an earlier request. I'm glad I'm not one of their newer customers.
If it's not obvious what the issue is, there's no 9 passages (OT) in 2005 Byz (NT). I'm sure someone will arrive to explain why 'Bible' software can't determine that .. give a warning, or an earlier choice. 'Good UI design'.
