This Month: Free Book Changes September 15

Happy Friday all! I wanted to bring some extra attention that this month, Logos is offering double the free books with a mid-month swap. The first free book (Scripture: A Guide for the Perplexed) and 15 other titles will only be available until September 15, when another free book + additional titles will drop through the end of the month!
I know some (including myself) are in the habit of waiting until the end of the month to finally add the free book to your library, so wanted to spread the word to get the first free book before the 15th!

Thanks for clarifying. Great to hear there will be 2 offers this month.

Cheyenne,
Will this also be true for the free Verbum, audio, and ebooks of the month? Two sets each for this month?

No hint of 2 weeks, on Verbum. On Logos, they have the warning in smaller font, with September in larger. This won't go well.
But Verbum free book is good ... synoptic problem, with discussion of various ideas. He likes Markan priority, but not 'Q'.

Hi PL! Just the Logos free book, not Verbum, audio or ebooks.

I cart the volume + wait. That'd be too late this month. Thanks, Cheyenne.

I was about to bump this when I saw DAL's post ... so this bump probably isn't necessary but ...

Really? I've generally "purchased" the free ones minutes after they go live. The free books and seeing the discounted books is the highlight of my day
I couldn't imagine waiting until the end of the month!

I always tend to forget to add it to my cart until the last few days of the month! I see the announcement and then social posts and still forget to check out. I know it's a me problem.

I usually grab the free books right away but wait on the discounted books until the end of the month. Sometimes I forget those. I guess that is my me problem.

The way it is worded on the page, "yours free until September 16" sounds like we have to read it in two weeks and don't get to keep it. That was my first impression anyway.

Thanks for this feedback, Willy! That's not our intention on the Logos team, as you have until the 16th to get the free title at the free price, but you'll own it forever. We'll update this to better reflect this.

Note that you revived a year old thread. This mid-month adjustment was in 2023

Oh, wow. I see that now. Looks like they are doing the same thing this September.

There have been 2 free books every month since last September. The second offer normally lands on the 15th, but the 16th this month.

Does anyone know the rational for two books a month? Not complaining, just curious. Thanks in advance.

"Knowing" would need inside knowledge - but let me take a guess or two: unlike in ye olden days we not only have free books, but also the plus 1 which might become plus eight and might run up to double digit prices, thus enticing people to buy a possibly large number of those books. Also it might be that publishers actually pay to be part of such promotions.
Have joy in the Lord!

While I don’t work for Faithlife, I would venture this guess: Along with the free book are usually several other highly discounted books. Logos gets the revenue from those books sales as they are often seen as “impulse purchases” generated by being discounted and right by the actual free book. Doing it twice in a month can allow that to happen twice and as much. It’s all about the marketing.
Or, I could be wrong and they just want to give away many books!

Thanks guys. I appreciate it. What you both said makes a lot of sense.

And another (for me), those random commentary volumes lead to 'Well, gee, I've already got some, and they're pretty good. Get a package!'.
