I have installed some personal books in Logos on my desktop. When I want to access them with my Laptop I get the message: You do not have a license for this article.
What do I have to do that I can access them with my Laptop?
Regards
Dirk
You would need to Upload it. This is described about halfway down the article at https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015926452-Personal-Books
Graham told you the simplest method. However, when you upload the book, you can‘t delete it from the servers. There are other methods to sync if that is a concern.
FYI- the metadata auto syncs, but the book itself does not.
Thanks a lot for your help!
You could make a copy of the Resources folder of your desktop to a USB stick, then attach the USB stick to your laptop and after opening Logos on our laptop enter the "scan " command in the Logos command box so it will scan your USB stick thereby adding the PB files from the USB stick to your laptop Logos installation.
This way you can still work with your PBs just as you do on your desktop. However, please note that if you update one of the PBs on one of the two computers, it will not automatically synchronize / update on the other computer. You could then use the above method to update the PB file on the relevant other computer.
Thanks for this advice. It seems to be an interesting way to avoid uploading the files to the server I assume.
