Highlighting and erasing

It is possible to highlight in three ways and to remove highlights. However my problem is I cannot remove a highlight.

I have a number of bible texts, but NJB is exceptional, possibly due to reverse interlinear. In the virtual filters of each bible I have clicked 'Notes and Highlights (correponding)'. Thus I can highlight the same passage in several bible versions. Usually I can remove highlights, but not always.

In Ps 1:2  (of RSVCE and other texts) I cannot remove the highlight. Also sometimes a highlight leaves one or two words unhighlighted.

Is my problem with visual filters; do I need to click other options?

As a related problem -  what options in visual filters are most useful if I want to read the Bible text and highlight certain passage.

I am reading information on highlights, but so far I am unable to solve my problem.

I would appreciate help.

VF = Visual filter in the resource toolbar(I don't have any virtual ones[:)])

Go to your Notes tool and select the NJB in the Filters sidebar. You can delete notes/highlights from there. Also check if you have any 'foreign' Notebooks (not yours!).

Again, use the Notes tool for RSVCE. If one or two words are unhighlighted it usually means it was highlighted in another bible. Uncheck 'Notes and Highlights (correponding)' to confirm this.

Visual Filters found in the Documents menu could be responsible for highlighting, so check the bible(s) it uses as well as the style. The options in the toolbar VF menu are useful to switch off Notes and Highlights as well as the search VF's you might see.

As a related problem -  what options in visual filters are most useful if I want to read the Bible text and highlight certain passage.

See last comment. It would be useful to see all possible highlights (except 'corresponding') in this case.  Split highlights/notes can result if you cannot see what you have already done.
