Do you know a source of canon history for Rastafarians, Hebrew Roots Movement, Black Hebrew Israelit

Rastafarians, Hebrew Roots Movement, Black Hebrew Israelites ... are examples of a group of Christian movements that use extended canons e.g.

may include Enoch, Jubilees, and/or Jasher
may use the Ethiopian canon
may include Holy Piby
may include the Rabbinic canon: Mishnah, Talmud
may include Kabbalah e.g. Zohar

Does anyone know of a study of the canon development in these interrelated movements and others like them?

Grew up with a few Hebrew Israelites and some who have become international leaders of the movement and have long since moved to Kenya, Ghana and other parts of Africa. I have grown a distaste of ethnicity in theology despising both Eurocentricity and Afrocentricity. They are such separatist that it is hard to find their works in the mainstream and if you are not part of them you will not know of their publications.

I would be curious to hear of answers or responses to your request.

Well sure, skypeace, but I should think that in this Internet age, if one want to find the publications they'd rather you not have and whatnot, one can.

I remember years ago easily finding a Watchtower publication that is certainly not known in the mainstream, but that handles with how to deal with going to court, for instance with a non-JW who is divorcing you.

Perhaps some Apologetics-related resrouces in Logos might be helpful?

My interest, actually, is not ethnicity but canonicity. I recently read Philip Jenkin's The Many Faces of Christ: The Thousand-Year Story of the Survival and Influence of the Lost Gospels. I was struck by how some of the works were making a come-back in the optional lectionaries of progressive churches. So, I began researching what "non-Biblical" texts were considered authoritative by contemporary Churches including the obvious - Confessions of Faith in confessional churches; doctrinal statement in some centralized administration churches ... then I hit books like the story of Solomon and Queen of Sheba (The Kebra Nagast), The Holy Piby, . . . I ran into conflicting information and differing explanations for the conflicting information. It occurred to me that someone with an interest in the history of the ethnic movements might be able to point me in the right direction, While waiting, I moved on to Adamic literature and the three Adams across Abrahamic religions.

I've just started Karen Armstrong's The Lost Art of Scripture: Rescuing the Sacred Texts which, in a strange way, confronts the lost fluidity in canon.
