B8 Bug: Tabloid Print

Attempted to print a sentence diagram on tabloid (11x17) paper. The bottom half of the page printed at the top of the page, and the rest of the diagram did not print.

Can anyone confirm this, or is it a function of printing through Parallels on a Mac? Sentence Diagrams from Accordance print correctly on the same paper.

I haven't been able to reproduce this problem. Are you selecting Tabloid size in the Sentence Diagram document? Is this a text flow diagram and is it within the page guides?

Yes to all your questions. If I select letter size in the print preview window, the entire diagram will print, although at a greatly reduced size.

EDIT: The answer should have been "NO" to one your questions. This is a Line Diagram, not a text flow one.

The document looks correct in the Print Preview window, but when printed on tabloid paper, the bottom third of the document appears at the top of the page.

Since I am running Windows XP on a Mac under Parallels, I must use the HP Color Laser Jet 8500 PS driver. The actual printer is an Epson Stylus Photo 1400.

It's possible that the wrong printer driver is the cause. According to Epson's website, there is a WinXP driver for your printer.

I think the problem is not with Win XP, but with Parallels. The Epson driver would not print for me. Perhaps it is something in the interface Parallels uses. Parallels instruction manual calls for the HP driver.

I guess this will be solved when L4 Mac gets printing (possibly by Christmas).
