I started with the WS DOS version. I have purchased many Bibles. Will my WS continue to work?
The servers that previously supported Wordsearch no longer work. Your existing installation may or may not still function. Logos temporarily supported the software during the transition, but now all of your books are available in Logos, as well as many other features that did not exist in Wordsearch. This thread provides more detail.
Hi William
I have just reviewed your previous posts which seemed to ask similar questions.
How are you getting on with making Logos work for you?
Have all your resources been included in your Logos installation?
If you are having any difficulty that with Logos, that the training videos don't help with, it would be best to ask them in the Desktop App forum. Answers are very quick to come there.
Actually I've been busy using WordSearch and have only briefly tried Logos. It's been quite confusing and different so I continue to use WS. I believe all my Bibles etc. are working in Logos. When I load Logos it says the free Logos. I'm interested in upgrading but not sure how to do it. I will check the Desktop App forum. Thanks.
I can't get your link to work.
The link Justin provided was somehow doubled up.
Try this one https://community.logos.com/forums/t/205466.aspx .
Thanks!
I guess I'm spoiled by the simplicity of WS. Logos is a different world. I like simplicity.
I think that Logos can be as simple or complex as you need. Try clicking the Logos icon on the top to open a text box (we call it the "go box") and type in a Scripture of a topic. Hit enter and let Logos do the rest.
If there is something specific you do in WS that seems tough in Logos, please let us know.
I'm mainly interested in searching the Scriptures. I got tired of opinions years ago. lol

Can you give something you found complicated in searching the Scriptures?
Not sure complicated is the word. I'm a literalist.
If you want to use Logos with its full function, my advice is you can subscribe to MP seminaris and you can learn Logos from A-Z. You will be amazed what the Software can do. Training Library - MP Seminars .
Then you really will find that there are a pelethora of tools that will help you investigate the oldest documents with have in as close to the original language as we can get.
You will be able to make your own translation from there into relevant English.
There are many here who are competent exponents who will be more than willing to help you exploit these tools.
Okay, I'll try one more time. You said Logos is "confusing and different." Did you mean a particular task is confusing that we can help you with to ease the transition?
When one comes from WordSearch, I can relate that Logos is a confusing monster to learn. Logos has a steep learning curve. I would suggest going on YouTube and look up "How to learn Logos Bible Software" Then choose "Getting Started with Logos". I think that will help you
Also, look up "MP Morris video" on YouTube. MP Morris will be especially helpful.
There are many "free" videos to help one learn about Logos on YouTube. And there are courses at Logos.com that can help also if you want to pay.
