I have had this problem for some time. It started with 27 beta 2 but seemed to get fixed in beta 3. But from then on it all went back to the same problem I had encountered with beta 2 and its still here with the stable version 28.

I had posted a comment here re- beta 4, but have had no replies.

Please see the images attached. This happens when the print/export screen is up and we have a whiteout as shown. It also happens with the "Report Typo" screen. This happens whether using dark or light mode.

I would prefer to avoid an uninstall/reinstall, particularly, if that will not resolve the problem.

Starting the title with BUG increase the chances someone from Faithlife will look at the post.

    Hi David,

Apologies for missing your initial post on these issues. We have cases for both of these issues and they have been passed along to our team. I will make sure to include this forum thread on those cases.

Though certainly not ideal, a temporary workaround for printing/exporting a sentence diagram document in dark mode is to change the font and line color to black prior to printing/exporting. It does make it challenging to see the text against the dark background of the sentence diagramming tool, but it should make it legible in the print/export screen. I would be curious to know if this works for you, if it does not it might be indicative of a different issue than the one we were able to reproduce.

    Hi Savanna,

It doesn't make any difference whether in light or dark mode, the same problem (bug) exists. It's actually worse as you can see here in the images. It will not even display. In dark mode, it will display except in Print/Export mode.

    Light mode...

    Export mode...

    Hi David,

Is that what occurs when changing the font and line color to black in the sentence digram window prior to attempting printing/exporting? That is the workaround I have been able to identify so far, but I can't confidently tell what your font and line color settings are from the screen shots. Still looking into this issue, but hoping to clarify we have been trying the same workaround.

    Hi Savanna,

I use the setting: Content Scaling 110%; Program Scaling 90%; Open Sans 11.

I tried changing the program and content scaling back to default and it made no difference. I've been using Open Sans 11 for many Logos versions.

I can confirm that your workaround changes it to function correctly and in fact alleviates me having to, once I have exported the file, to change the font from white to black & the black background to white - for printing (I don't want to use up that much ink with a black background). However, the black font and line is hard to read, of course, on a dark theme. But the print/export under those changes are perfect.

I think that the workaround has caused the system to automatically change the background to white once I changed the font and line colour to black. Now, I can just print directly from Logos to paper without having to go through further processing as in the paragraph above.

I hope this has made sense.

    Hi David,

Thank you for the additional information on how you are experiencing this issue. I will make sure our case has this additional information and will update this thread once we have a fix in place for this issue.
