If I want to search for maps on the region of Bashan - What would would be the optimal way of doing that so as to locate the region using the different atlas' available.

There are three different approaches which bring up different results - which is optimal depends upon your library and what you want in the map.

METHOD ONE:

Do a simple Factbook lookup; expand the media section. This provides links for the Media tool and the Search function. Other sections in Factbook provide alternative names, links to Bible dictionary entries etc.

METHOD TWO:

Run a media search on maps using both the tag argument place:Bashan and the text argument Bashan. You will get results in up to 3 sections - Atlas, maps from downloaded library, and maps from personal books. Clicking on a map will open it in a tab/floating window.

METHOD THREE

Use the Atlas tool. Enter Bashan in the find box; a map containing that place will be provided although you may need to zoom in or pan out to see it. Note that there is a Media Collection section in addition to the Atlas proper.
