L/V 10+ Tip of the Day #294 Copying interlinears into MS Word etc.
Another tip of the day (TOTD) series for Logos/Verbum 10. They will be short and often drawn from forum posts. Feel free to ask questions and/or suggest forum posts you'd like to see included. Adding comments about the behavior on mobile and web apps would be appreciated by your fellow forumites. A search for "L/V 10+ Tip of the Day site:community.logos.com" on Google should bring the tips up as should this Reading List within the application.

Could you please advise me if there is a way to copy an Interlinear into a word processing document?

Mike copied text shows inline data that is laid out like an interlinear. That data is obtained from the associated Reverse Interlinear dataset. In the UI, this is referred to as the Inline Reverse Interlinear, but it is presented as an Interlinear, so often people are not precise when talking about it.
I found an Interlinear Bible works best (I'm using MS Word):
1.Open in a floating window
2. Make its width smaller than the page width of Word on your screen.
3. Display Manuscript, Lemma and Literal translation
4.Select Narrow Margins in Word (you might have to use Custom Margins, though)
5. Copy your Interlinear text and paste into Word
6. Keep Source formatting in Word as it is more compact.
* if an Interlinear display (three rows in this case) is split over two pages, you might have to manually adjust the bottom/top page margin.
It is fiddly, and I'm not sure when Word resorts to using a Text Box vs Tables!
